- Minnie (trialled as 15010-09) is a new milling oat variety with a short-medium stature, suited to medium-high rainfall regions
- Minnie has a mid-slow maturity, similar to Bannister
- Minnie has a short-medium plant height, improving lodging tolerance and harvestability compared to taller varieties in high yielding situations.
- It offers good disease profile including leaf rust (RMRp) and CCN (Rp)
- Minnie has a strong grain quality package, with adequate screenings and test weight.
- Minnie may not be suitable as a dual purpose variety due to its short-medium stature. Further testing is underway.
