InterGrain Appoints New Wheat Milling Specialist

26 July 2019

Leading cereal breeding company InterGrain is very pleased to announce that Fernanda Ham has joined the business in the role of Wheat Milling Specialist, having previously spending four years with the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development’s quality testing group.

InterGrain Senior Wheat Breeder Dr Dan Mullan said, “We are delighted to have Fern on board, her wealth of knowledge and experience will be a valuable asset to InterGrain.”

Dan said it is a very exciting time to be joining the InterGrain team.

In accepting the role Fern said, “I’m really looking forward to this role and relishing the chance to set up a new testing procedure for wheat milling. I’m keen to being more involved in, and learning about the seed supply chain.”

Fern will be operating out of InterGrain’s head office in Bibra Lake.

Fern is very passionate about the food industry, having and completing a degree in Food Science and Technology from Curtin University, and loves the combination that Food Science provides between baking and laboratory work.

Fern’s appointment is an important part of InterGrain’s investment into noodle and bread testing and reinforces InterGrain’s commitment to developing high quality, reliable, differentiated and highly productive cereal varieties for growers and South East Asian customers.
