The position encompasses a dynamic range of responsibilities, requiring adept planning, meticulous coordination, and hands on execution. You will be at the forefront of grain sample processing, sampling inventory management, conducting physical quality assessments, and meticulously preparing seeds for crucial field trials. Additionally, you will play an integral role in gathering in-season data from our expansive field sites and providing valuable support during harvest activities.

Operating with a sense of autonomy, these roles are characterised by independent decision making and strategic execution. As a pivotal member of our team, you will frequently supervise seasonal staff, synergising efforts to achieve our collective targets effectively.

SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Passion for Australian Agriculture: An intrinsic love for the agricultural sector, driven by the desire to contribute to its growth and progress.
  • Experience in Plant Breeding or Agricultural Research: If you possess experience in plant breeding or have engaged in
  • Field based agricultural research, your application will be favourably regarded.
  • Tertiary Qualifications: A degree in plant science, agriculture, or a related field will be highly valued. Equally important is the ability to demonstrate a similar level of knowledge if you’ve gained expertise through other means. Computer Literacy: Proficiency in computer skills, particularly in Excel, is essential to streamline tasks and processes.
  • Meticulous Attention to Detail: Your commitment to precision is paramount, as is your adeptness in planning, organising, and effectively managing time.
  • Outstanding Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are vital for seamless collaboration within our diverse team.
  • Independent and Team Player: The ability to work autonomously is crucial, while also showcasing your capacity to work harmoniously within a team. Highlight any leadership experiences you’ve had.
  • Adaptive Learning: Your track record of swiftly acquiring new skills on the job, combined with your innate self- motivation, ensures you can meet specific objectives within stringent timelines.
