InterGrain has structured its wheat breeding into four different breeding programs to provide a balanced approach to its national wheat breeding for the diverse Australian environments. Four of the programs are agro-climatically and quality focussed, the fifth program is a specialist program aimed at fast tracking genetic introgression of important genetic characters into the other breeding programs.

The four programs are:-
